Maurice Lucas Foundation student and Rose Festival

Maurice Lucas Foundation student and Rose Festival Princess, Beatriz Santiago and her family lost all of their belongings this week to a devastating apartment building fire in NE Portland. Beatriz graduated high school this year, with honors, and has plans to attend Portland State University in the fall. Her dream is to study to become a social worker.⠀

Friends and supporters have been providing assistance to Beatriz and her family through a GoFundMe account as well as through the Maurice Lucas Foundation’s Financial Assistance Program.⠀
