Students Attend Portland Thorns Game
A night to remember at the Thorns match! Huge thank you to Josh Lyons and KeyBank for hosting us in the suite and giving our students an unforgettable evening of fun and community.
Thanks to the generosity of KeyBank and Josh Lyons, KeyBank Market President, 18 Maurice Lucas Foundation students and staff enjoyed an unforgettable night at a Portland Thorns match on September 20, 2025. Hosted in the KeyBank Suite at Providence Park, students were treated to food, beverages, and gift cards to shop at the Thorns team store—where they proudly picked out jerseys, stuffed animals, and plenty of Thorns gear. It was a fun and memorable evening that celebrated community, generosity, and the joy of shared experiences.
About the Maurice Lucas Foundation
The Foundation is named in honor of the late Maurice Lucas (1952-2010), the leading scorer on the 1977 NBA champion Trail Blazers team. Besides his outstanding achievements on the court, Lucas also selflessly gave his time and energy to Portland youth. Since its formation in 2010, the Maurice Lucas Foundation has served thousands of students and families through its Academy program, basketball camps and teams.
