Volunteers are crucial to our success.
Volunteers are a really important reason our camps, academies and events are so successful.
During after-school academies, select kids discuss positive values including leadership, hard work, respect, and teamwork. Then they receive special attention to work on schoolwork and learn and practice athletic activities. Volunteers range from educators and mentors, to coaches and guest speakers.
Camps are typically an entire day of sport. We fill courts and/or fields with several sport options—from basketball and volleyball to lacrosse and soccer—and encourage kids to practice a sport they're already skilled in or try something new. Camp volunteers are experienced in coaching a variety of sport and team-building activities.
Volunteers are also crucial to our student field trips to colleges and universities and fundraising events. Skills of event volunteers vary.
