Scholarship Program
MAURICE LUCAS FOUNDATION ACADEMY
Helping Students Fund Their Post High School Journey
Many of our students are the first to attend college in their families. For those students with the desire to pursue their education after high school, the foundation has established a scholarship assistance program to further their success in life.
The program focuses on helping each student find funding for their post high school journey. Several of our students have been recipients of the Jordan Brand Wings Scholars Program.
Solidifying Future Opportunities
The Maurice Lucas Foundation’s Howard Hedinger Memorial Scholarship Fund was created to provide every graduate of our Academy who meets the eligibility requirements the opportunity to attend the college, university or accredited vocational school of their choice.
Those who participate in our Academy in its entirety (seven years/Grades 6-12) and meet the scholarship criteria will receive a scholarship of $1,250, renewable annually for up to a maximum total of $5,000.
How Can You Help?
Our first-class of eligible students graduated high school in 2019 and each year our number of students who qualify for scholarships will grow with the growth of our program. The foundation needs donors to help build our scholarship fund so it can support and sustain scholarships for our growing population of students. Donors are also welcome to establish their own scholarship program within the Maurice Lucas Foundation. For more information, contact Executive Director, David Lucas at (503) 880-4323.
